The Aspen Animal Shelter is leading the charge against pet overpopulation—providing rescue, medical care, and adoption services for hundreds of animals each year. Their nationwide spay/neuter program sterilizes over 2,500 pets annually, working with 25+ veterinary hospitals from the Roaring Fork Valley to the Navajo Nation.
Locally, the shelter gives homeless pets a safe haven, where every animal is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Open 365 days a year, it welcomes volunteers daily from 7am to 6pm.
